Health Regulations
All entering students must
be immunized to be admitted as a student in H. Frank Carey High School.
Please be advised that section 903 of the New York Education Law
requires that all seventh and tenth grade students and all new entrants
have a physical examination within the first 30 days of school.
Sports Physicals
Anyone who plays a sport must hand
in a physical form from his/her private physician to the school nurse.
One month before the sport begins, the Long Island Jewish School Doctor
will then review the physical and approve it.
Yearly Screenings
It is mandated by New York State
that every student be screened by the school nurse for height, weight, vision,
scoliosis and hearing. The screening will not be necessary if the student
submits a
physical by his/her private physician.
