Physical Education Department...
A sound mind in a strong body

Physical education is an integral part of the total education growth and development process of each student.

The following areas are covered:

  • Physical development and fitness.
  • Individual and team activities.
  • Team-sport activities in class, as well as intramural and interscholastic opportunities after school.
  • Rhythmics.

All of these topics and activities are carried on progressively and are designed to meet the capabilities, talents, and skills of individual students.

Physical Education is required of all students in Grades 7 through 12 and is scheduled on a co-educational basis. Classes meet on alternate days.

Adapted programs are offered to meet the unique needs of pupils who are temporarily or permanently unable to participate in the regular program of physical education.  Leadership Physical Education is offered to those students who have been identified as having outstanding qualities.

Make-Up Physical Education
Available to students in grades 7 through 12 at 7:10 a.m. (Days 2/4) to make -up excused absences and incidents of being unprepared.
